The 4th Annual Conference on Oil and Gas Geophysics was held in Haidu Hotel, Qingdao, Shandong Province from June 28 to 30, 2021. The meeting was sponsored by the oil and gas geophysics Professional Committee of Chinese Geophysical Society, and sponsored by palladium geophysics company, Beijing nokstar Petroleum Technology Co., Ltd., youth working committee of Chinese Geophysical Society and Editorial Department of petroleum geophysical exploration, and hosted by China University of Petroleum (East China). The theme of the conference is Economical and efficient oil and gas geophysics, which consists of the report of the General Assembly and 12 topics, a total of more than 240 academicreports.
Associate Professor Bao Qianzong, Head of the Department of Geophysics of our School, attended the meeting with Associate Professor Ren Zhiming and Dr. LiuZhishui.
Associate Professor Ren Zhiming is the feature moderator of The Theory and Method of Seismic Wave Propagation and gave a keynote report entitled Elastic medium cyclotrons and reflective wave cascading and joint waveform inversion . Cascade and joint waveform inversion of refracted and reflected waves in elastic media.Associate Professor Ren Zhiming proposed a joint waveform inversion method of elastic refracted wave and reflected wave, which can obtain the long wavelength component of P and S wave velocity, improve the accuracy of subsequent reverse time migration and full waveform inversion, and is of great significance to improve the quality of oil and gas exploration and lithology prediction under complex geological conditions. Dr. Liu Zhishui made a report entitled Porosity prediction method of tight sandstone reservoir based on polygonal pore structure model on the special Unconventional and tight oil and gas geophysical technology. Based on this prediction of rock porosity, Dr. Liu Zhishui proposed a petrophysical model that equivalents pores in rocks to a mixed structure of regular polygons and cracks, and the accuracy of predicted porosity is significantly improved compared with conventional methods, which is of great significance to improve the prediction accuracy of tight sandstonereservoirs.
