In order to promote the optimization, improvement and implementation of the undergraduate talent training program(2022), the department of geophysics held the review meeting of the specialty training program(2022) for Exploration Technology and Engineering major and Geophysics major online and offline in Sept2nd.
The meeting invited Prof. Zeng Zhaofa(JiLin University), Prof. Qian Rongyi(China University of Geosciences, Beijing), Prof. Zong Zhaoyun(China University of Petroleum, East China), professorate senior engineer Mr. Guo Wenbo(Xi'an Northwest Nonferrous Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration Corps Co., Ltd) and Prof. Liu Jianli(Shaanxi Geology and Mining Geophysical and Geochemical Prospecting Team Co., Ltd) as external review experts. The principals of the Department of Geophysics, the responsibility professors and teachers of the two majors attended themeeting.
The first stage of the meeting was presided over by Mr. Bao Qianzong, the director of the Department of Geophysics. Firstly, Mr. Bao welcomed and thanked all the experts who attended the meeting, and elected Prof. Zeng Zhaofa as the group leader of the external review committee.Then, Vice Dean Mr. Shao Guangzhou, on behalf of the school, introduced and explained the revised guidelines and regulations of the training program after welcoming and thanking theexperts.
The second stage of the meeting was chaired by Prof. Zeng Zhaofa. First, the deputy director of the Department of Geophysics Ms. Ji Xinlin reported on the revision of the specialty training program(2022) for Exploration Technology and Engineering major and Geophysics major, including the history of teaching, the training curriculum setting as well as the curriculum system and so on of the two majors.Then, the experts questioned and discussed the training program, and put forward their opinions and suggestions. Prof. Li Qingchun and Prof. Wang Wanyin, who were in charge of the two majors, gave supplementary explanations and then formed the evaluation opinions. All the experts agreed that the training program has clear training objectives and graduation requirements with distinctive characteristics, reasonable curriculum and teaching process. Thus, it is recommended that these two training programs can beimplemented.
