The Department of Geophysics Paid a Visit to Shaanxi Geology and Mining Geophysical and Geochemical Prospecting Team Co., Ltd

In the afternoon of July20^th, Mr. Bao Qianzong, Director of the Department of Geophysics, and other 3 experts paid a visit to Shaanxi Geology and Mining Geophysical and Geochemical Prospecting Team Co., Ltd(the Team in short). The Party Secretary of the Team, Mr. Li Xinsheng; the Deputy Party Secretary of the Team, Mr. Liang Yuanmeng; the Chief Engineer of the Team, Mr. Liu Jianli; the Deputy Chief Engineer of the Team, Mr. Tian Jing; and the Director of Human Resources Department in the Team, Mr. He Jing attended the exchange and communicationactivities.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Li Xinsheng warmly welcomed the arrival of Director Bao and his delegation, and then introduced the basic information, organizational framework, personnel qualification construction, service fields and achievements of the Team in detail.The Chief Engineer, Mr. Liu Jianli, introduced the achievements about scientific and technological innovation and technical equipment upgrading of the institute in recent years. He also pointed out the technical difficulties encountered in Multi-Field Source Magnetotelluric Inversion Technology, and hoped to improve the innovation research level of geological prospecting technology through School-Enterprise Cooperation with Chang’an University. According to the specific application of 3D Transient Electromagnetic Inversion in the company's project, the Deputy Chief Engineer of the Team, Mr. Tian Jing hoped to get technical support from Chang’an University in thefuture.

Director Bao introduced the basic information about the characteristics, talents training and scientific research of School of Geological Engineering and Geomatics. Then, he gave a detailed introduction of the teachers, discipline platform, discipline construction, talents training and other aspects. Director Bao said that the Department of Geophysics attaches great importance to the integration of industry, education and research, and hopes that the two sides can expand the field of cooperation further more in talents training, professional construction, students’ internship and employment, social services and soon.

Mr. Li Xinsheng highly evaluated and recognized the talents training model of the Department of Geophysics, Chang’an University. He hoped that through this exchange and communication activity, the cooperation between university and enterprise could be further deepened, and more outstanding graduates could be recruited to work in the enterprise. Both sides agreed to give full play to the respective advantages of universities and enterprises in the geophysical industry, optimize the cooperation mechanism, carry out more exchange activity and cooperation, build a solid cooperation platform between universities and enterprises, and cultivate more first-class geophysical talents with strong comprehensive ability who can meet the needs ofsoceity.
